In the last decade the Irish whiskey category has had a renaissance period and the industry is thriving.

What this means is hyper-competition and brands now have had to come up with more innovative ways to market their whiskies – both offline and online.

Paddy Irish Whiskey is one of the elder statesmen of the Irish whiskey industry and with the arrival of these new brands, Paddy is in constant need to remain relevant online and in the mind of the whiskey drinkers aged 18 – 35

The Solution

A whole new digital focused approach was needed. Escalate got to work quickly developing a core digital strategy that focused on our target audience.

Capturing and creating engaging content and using social media to amplify our reach, we managed to capture the Spirit of Paddy Irish Whiskey and share this with our key demographic within the Irish market.

The Problem

In early 2020, MONIN Ireland were thriving, the number one supplier of flavoured syrups to the hospitality industry.

They also sold their products online, but never considered this as a strong revenue stream for their business as their products were ‘industry’ focused, and not typically direct to consumer products.

The Solution

MONIN needed a new strategy, to target a new audience.

We started by completing an in dept audit of their online activities, and developed an action plan to achieve their sales goals.

This action plan incorporated Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, influencer & email marketing and website optimisation strategies.

Once we launched our marketing campaigns we seen an immediate impact.

The Result

We increased eCommerce sales by 900% in 6 months.

Through this process we were able to instantly reduce the cost of acquisition by implementing a multi channel approach. The cost per purchase lowered from €5 down to as little as €.64c in some cases.

The first month seen a modest 60% increase in website sales, but the real growth came in month 2-5 as we began to scale up and by month 6 we had increased monthly sales by over 900%.

These sales have stayed steady and we intend to double these figures again in 2021.
