The Client Brief.

Since its first outlet opened in 1996, Apache Pizza has become Ireland’s largest fast-food chain with almost 200 stores nationwide.

Their success relies on a commitment to quality service, maintaining a loyal customer base, and expanding their reach.

After winning the pitch process to become Apache Pizza’s social media agency, we were tasked with an audacious goal:

– Drive awareness of their new “REALLY BIG DEAL”
– Grow their social media following among the Gen Z demographic

Our Approach

We caught the TikTok wave, leveraging a collaboration with influencer Miriam Mullins.

Our bait was the simplest yet most effective concept: “MAY MADNESS – REALLY BIG GIVEAWAY!”. A month of free pizza giveaways to followers, amplified by influencer posts and the announcement of daily winners, resulted in a four-week campaign that weaved an exciting narrative for our target audience.

The campaign phases included;
– Priming the platform
– Shooting authentic content
– Campaign launch
– Influencer amplification
– Organic Content.

We focused on user experience, simplifying participation to a single click to follow Apache Pizza on TikTok.

The Results.

Our “May Madness – REALLY BIG DEAL” campaign not only met but surpassed our expectations.

We gained over 16,000 new followers on TikTok within the first two weeks, dwarfing our initial target of 3000 new followers.

Our influencer collaboration resonated with over half a million people, and we managed to retain a staggering 97% of our new followers after the campaign had finished.

By the end of our campaign, Apache Pizza had nearly a million online impressions and a total of 19,500 TikTok followers, 64% of which fell squarely into our target demographic of 18-24 year-olds in Ireland.

The cherry on top? Apache Pizza recorded a significant increase in sales figures nationwide during this period compared to the previous year.
