The Client Brief.
Hollywood Lakes Golf Club is one of North County Dublin’s premier parkland golf clubs. Situated in the scenic Ballyboughal area of the county, the course has some stunning views and prides itself on having some of the most pristine greens and fairways in the country.
However, with an absence of a coordinated digital marketing plan, very few in the county and country knew about Hollywood Lakes Golf Club. We were contacted by the club to help them to change all of this.
The brief was very simple;
1. Increase the number of full-time members at the club.
2. Increase the number of people booking to play one-off rounds at the club.
3. Grow their online following and community.
4. Showcase the beauty and overall quality of the club, as well the wealth of knowledge and expertise of its staff.
Firstly, we started by executing a number of high-quality photo and video shoots at the club. In order to convince potential members and players that Hollywood Lakes is as good as we say it is, it needed to look the part.
The content captured would then form the basis for a new social media content strategy and the visuals for the ads that would be showcased.
Secondly, we coordinated a new social media content strategy to show off the best that the club has to offer. You can visit the Hollywood Lakes Facebook and Instagram pages to get an idea of the content we helped plan, produce and execute.
In conjunction with this social strategy, we also developed a new ads strategy across a number of social media platforms, as well as on Google. These ads targeted various different demographics across Dublin and Ireland, driving traffic to the website to pages such as “Book A Tee Time” or “Become A Member”.
It was these high-quality leads that were arriving through the ads strategy that began to progress to conversions, in the form of new members and one-off bookings.
Over time, the results of implementing the new social content strategy and the latest online ads strategy were clear to see.
Hollywood Lakes Golf Club has seen full-time members numbers grow by over 60%. This has included a notable increase in member numbers across minority demographics – junior members and female members.
Website traffic has increased by over 250%. This is reflected in the number of people filling out new member application forms online and the number of people booking in to play one-off rounds at the club.
Since the implementation of our new social media content strategy, online followers have increased by 300%.
While finally, general awareness amongst the golfing community of Hollywood Lakes Golf Club has increased hugely. Our ads and content have been seen by over 750,000 targeted individuals across the island of Ireland.
