Online marketing strategy and brand exposure for European music festival

Travel 2 Ultra is the official Travel partner for Europe’s largest dance music festival hosted in the beautiful surroundings of Croatia, the festival attract’s over 100 thousand people each year from all over the world.

The Opportunity:

We began working with Travel 2 Ultra Ireland early in 2014 to put together a complete online marketing strategy and campaign to drive sales and create awareness about the festival to the Irish audience.

Over the course of the Travel 2 Ultra Campaign we covered 8 Counties across Ireland, event attendance at over 14,000 people in our target audience, with over 10 different shows in some of Irelands most prestigious nightclubs and university campuses.

The Results

Radio Coverage:
We partnered with iRadio, promoting our campaign over a 4 week period. iRadio cover 15 Counties in Ireland reaching 349,000 people in our demographic per week.

The Travel2Ultra Ireland Facebook page grew from zero, to 3,000 fans over the course of the campaign with very limited budget for ad spend and promotion. Our Facebook page demographic fits perfectly into our marketing strategy with 60% of people in the 18 – 24 age bracket and 20% in the 25 – 34 age bracket in Ireland. 60% Male, 40% Female.

Our post reach from 20th March – 30th June totaled at 670,000. We now have almost 11.5k+ fans and growing.

Ticket Sales:
Final ticket sales for festival goers from Ireland totalled at over 2,000 people. Growth from our campaign increased ticket sales from Ireland by 200% on the year previous. Far surpassing our target of 1000 ticket sales.

We also worked with the Travel 2 Ultra campaign again 2015, this year time working as the events strategic partner. Responsible for website retargeting, advertising and media sponsorship.

In 2015 we secured media sponsorship deals for Travel 2 Ultra Ireland with, Bulmers Irish Cider, Azuru Spirits, RTÉ 2Fm and RTÉ Pulse Radio, which enabled us to increase ticket sales by 130% from 2014.
